I discovered this marinade recipe many years ago. It is very good and tastes especially good in combination with New York Strip Steak.

The New York Strip is deliciously grilled, but when you top it with a flavor-enhancing marinade, it’s delicious! This recipe definitely, and Sure you will agree.

This marinade originally came from a recipe booklet that came with me when I bought a grill about 15 years ago. The magazine was called Barbeque Genius and contained this steak marinade by Ted Wetzel. Ted was a dedicated BBQ specialist!

The marinade is specially made for the New York steak. It is easy to put together simple ingredients that are often staples in the kitchen and add just the right flavor to a grilled strip steak.

Ingredients
Garlic Clove (Chopped or Crushed)
Tablespoons Worcestershire Sauce
Tablespoons Balsamic Vinegar
Freshly Ground Pepper to Taste
Teaspoon Dijon Mustard
Tablespoons Soy Sauce
Tablespoons Olive Oil
Instructions:
Mix the ingredients in bowl
Trim or use a Knife to Trim Excess Fat from the Steak to Prevent Curling.
Rinse the Steaks and Dry them with Kitchen Paper.
Put the steaks in a glass bowl with marinade and turn the meat to cover both sides.
Marinate in the refrigerator for no less than 1 hour or short-term.
After marinating the steaks in the refrigerator, allow them to reach room temperature before grilling.
How to grill the strip roast?

Heat the grill to HIGH and brush the grill with olive oil.
Put the steaks on one portion of the barbecue and turn that side down to MEDIUM.
Close the top and barbecue for 2.5 minutes.
Open the lid and turn the meat a quarter of a turn to create a cross-pattern on the steak.
Close the top and barbecue for 2.5 minutes.
Then turn the steaks to the other side of the grill and turn that side to the MEDIUM.
Grill 2.5 minutes.
Open the lid and turn the meat another 1/4 turn to create a cross-pattern.
Close the top and barbecue for 2.5 minutes.

I used to buy my meat-based solely on price. However, I quickly learned that cheaper is never better when it comes to choosing your steak.
